The Theory of Tomorrow
(A Short Film)
Decommissioned and discredited, an obsessive scientist will stop at nothing to finish his experiment.
THE THEORY OF TOMORROW is a thrilling sci-fi drama about the perils and consequences of blind ambition; as well as the damaging effect its innate indifference can have on the environment. Set in 1989, our protagonist, FRANK, looks to travel into the future. Blissfully unaware of the problems he may face when he gets there.
Filmed mostly in Anglesey, North Wales, this timely story about global threats aims to celebrate exciting Welsh talent on an international stage. Some would argue that science fiction is a relatively foreign genre for Wales, and we're here to challenge that idea. By bringing together a mixture of promising young artists, experienced professionals, homegrown and international talent, we've diversified the appeal of our project to create an authentically Welsh film that's also universally gripping.
This project was produced and self-funded by two brothers; Art director Alun Lloyd Roberts, and Welsh actor, Siôn Eifion, who steps behind the camera for the very first time in his debut short as writer/director.
Starring Iwan Charles as FRANK, and Raj Paul as MICHAELS.
